About
Responsibilities
Independently builds project plans around existing technology project portfolio.
Takes ownership for overall project schedule; drives projects to completion on‑time and on‑budget.
Builds interfaces between organizations to ensure successful hand‑off of deliverables.
Negotiates project goals and develops mitigation plans.
Manages program review meetings, tracks action items, and motivates program stakeholders.
Maintains software infrastructure to keep project plans and action items up to date.
Qualifications
5–7 years’ experience in Program Management.
5–7 years’ experience in a Research and Development environment; preferably around new product/process development through roll‑out to high‑volume manufacturing and change management of existing technologies and products.
5–7 years’ experience using MS Project or equivalent project‑management software.
PMP or PgMP certification preferred.
3 years of TOC/CCPM Program Management experience preferred.
BS degree in Engineering or a related technical field required.
Preferred: BS degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
Preferred: MS degree in an engineering discipline.
MBA considered if the candidate has significant technology experience.
Required Skills & Competencies
Demonstrated project‑management skills in a technology development environment.
Intermediate understanding of Quality and Reliability requirements to bring new products or processes to manufacturing.
Intermediate to advanced negotiation skills to secure cooperation and commitment to project deliverables.
Intermediate to advanced skills in all aspects of project planning and execution.
Intermediate proficiency in project‑management software (MS Project, Concerto, Advantage).
Capable of managing 3 to 5 projects simultaneously.
Clear oral and written communication across the organization.
Assertive characteristics that push projects through to completion.
Ability to partner with stakeholders to coordinate resources, activities, and priorities for rapid project completion.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to assertively motivate project participants.
Physical Requirements The physical requirements for this office role include the ability to sit or stand for extended periods, typically up to 8 hours a day, and regularly operate standard office equipment such as computers and phones. Employees should be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally and frequently perform tasks that require typing, writing, and document handling. Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary, along with adequate visual and auditory abilities to read materials and participate in meetings.
