About the Role As an Amphenol Industrial Products Group (AIPG) Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for promoting the entire Amphenol Industrial product line and promoting our global manufacturing capabilities and unique processes that support connector value add. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑technology, manufacturing environment and works well in a matrix structure across all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities
Identification of new account and program opportunities
Setting of account objectives
Establishment of print position
Coordination of selling strategies with Product Marketing Group
Coordination of selling activity with OEM sales force
Quarterly reviews with management
Forecasting and additional exempt duties as required
Grow customer base OEM orders year on year target minimum 15%
Create demand by developing and getting print position on new designs
Build a project pipeline of new customer opportunities to support future growth
Identify new technologies and acquisitions to supplement organic growth
Identification of business potential within Sales Territory
Sale of products direct
One year billing and booking forecast at accounts to include sales penetration of that potential
Coordination with product group to establish objectives and strategies to meet forecast
Establish individual account objectives to include product callouts and order budgets
Submit six month booking forecast of accounts to Regional Sales Manager with ±15% accuracy
Identification of decision makers at accounts and coordination of activity through them
Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Business Administration, Engineering, or Marketing) plus 2‑4 years directly related experience. In addition, the ability to represent the operation in a professional manner at the assigned accounts and the ability to coordinate sales through the selling organization.
