Value-Based Contracting Data Analyst Hybrid role based in Brooklyn, OH, requiring three days per week on-site.
Job Summary Working under general supervision, the analyst supports the operational infrastructure for the Value Based Contracting (VBC) provider incentive program, develops and maintains internal and external data flows, optimizes analytics tool (EZ Info) capabilities, and assists with managing vendor relationships.
Responsibilities
Compile and maintain documentation of flows, file formats, data sources, and timing for VBC operational processes.
Assist with managing/directing data flow between VBC vendor and the Company, including updating and maintaining VBC specific files required for EZ Info reporting.
Analyze output and conduct quality assurance on EZ Info reports to identify opportunities for improvements.
Assist with managing the relationship with the vendor, including identifying additional development needs, scoping, reviewing change orders, and associated costs.
Set up EZ Info tool configurations—user permissions, structures, report development, automation, exports, and identify opportunities to enhance existing capabilities.
Collaborate with the capitation payment team and set up capitation contracts within the pricing and payment tool (EZ Cap).
Stay current on provider contracting processes, regulations, and best practices; collaborate with other departments to support value based contracting operations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, information technology, or related field.
3 years of health care data and/or systems analysis experience, preference for managed‑care experience.
Experience with provider contracting incentive programs preferred.
Knowledge of provider contracting, provider incentive programs, and related regulations.
Intermediate Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint) skills.
Intermediate to advanced SAS and/or SQL and query and report writing skills.
Knowledge of business intelligence and analytical tools.
Senior Value-Based Contracting Data Analyst Job Summary Working under limited supervision, the senior analyst coordinates the operational infrastructure for the VBC provider incentive program, acts as the primary liaison with the vendor, and makes recommendations on process improvements to meet VBC goals and objectives.
Responsibilities
Manage/direct data flow between VBC vendor and the Company, including identifying needed data, formats, fields, overseeing accuracy of data pulls, timing, storage, and documentation.
Manage the relationship with the vendor, including identifying additional development needs, scoping, reviewing change orders and associated costs.
Supervise EZ Info tool configurations—user permissions, structures, report development, automation, exports, and recommend opportunities to enhance existing capabilities.
Collaborate with the capitation payment team and set up capitation contracts within the pricing and payment tool (EZ Cap).
Stay current on provider contracting processes, regulations, and best practices; act as primary liaison with other departments to support value based contracting operations.
Orient, train, and assist more junior level analysts.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, information technology, or related field.
5 years of experience as a Value Based Consulting Data Analyst or equivalent health care data and/or systems analysis experience in managed care, including provider contracting incentive programs.
Strong knowledge of provider contracting, provider incentive programs, and related regulations, with the ability to apply them to company operations.
Knowledge of insurance concepts, plan administration, and managed care.
Knowledge of payer performance‑based contracts.
Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint) skills.
Advanced SAS and/or SQL and query and report writing skills.
Strong knowledge of business intelligence and analytical tools.
