About

HDR is seeking an intelligent and energetic individual to launch their career at the intersection of Finance, Data, Government Compliance and Technology. This role is a hybrid of compliance, finance, and analytics with emphasis on automation and data‑driven insights, process improvement, cross‑functional collaboration and government contracting compliance.
Responsibilities
Improve financial accuracy and efficiency by designing and implementing automated expense review processes using tech‑enabled solutions; transform manual expense report review processes when evaluating expenses for compliance with HDR guidelines and FAR provisions.
Contribute to leadership decision‑making by enhancing financial forecasting models, assisting in developing periodic overhead rate forecast data, and coordinating with a cross‑functional team to assess current forecast methodologies, introduce efficiencies, and build system‑based forecast reporting.
As part of the annual indirect rate development process, conduct monthly transactional reviews and assess compliance with applicable government regulations; work across teams, including external auditors, to achieve Government Compliance objectives and drive process improvements.
Design and implement tech‑enabled audit tracking mechanisms for government client audits conducted across geographies and business groups.
Maintain HDR federal registration data in compliance with applicable government regulations; coordinate with Federal Business Group teams to support contract administration and reporting activity.
Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers; understand HDR's core business and promote a sense of urgency towards business‑critical issues.
Develop agents and other tech‑enabled solutions to monitor government regulation changes, including the Federal Acquisition Regulation, Cost Accounting Standards, and industry guidance.
Support collaboration activities to promote and implement continuous process improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation and Cost Accounting Standards.
A minimum of 1‑3 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, consulting, or a related function.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
Working knowledge of data analytics, process automation and/or reporting software such as Microsoft Power BI, Snowflake and Tableau; intellectual curiosity to learn and adopt technology in day‑to‑day tasks.
Problem‑solver who enjoys digging into data; can evaluate a process and recommend process improvements.
Excellent attention to detail with ability to recognize discrepancies; able to work with high accuracy and minimal supervision in a high‑volume environment.
Strong oral and written communication skills; clearly conveys messages and ideas.
Proficient organizational skills; able to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish daily tasks and projects.
Highly motivated and self‑directed; able to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to manage a fluctuating, high‑volume workload.
