Compensation: $120,000$167,000 DOE + 20% Annual Bonus + 20% Long-Term Incentive Plan

HireIQ Solutions is leading the search for a Maintenance Manager at a US manufacturer of engineered-to-order HVAC and thermal management systems serving mission-critical and commercial/industrial environments. The company designs and manufactures highly customized equipment and continues to invest in facility reliability, operational excellence, and cross-functional execution across its manufacturing footprint.

About the Role

This role is responsible for overseeing all installation, repair, and maintenance of industrial equipment, facilities, and custodial operations. The Maintenance Manager plans, directs, and coordinates maintenance processes and activities while partnering with leadership, Engineering, and other internal stakeholders to ensure facility systems and production-support equipment operate reliably and efficiently. This leader is responsible for budget stewardship, maintenance planning, team development, contractor coordination, and ensuring resources are in place to support the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish priorities and set expectations for maintenance staff, custodial staff, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Manage the maintenance budget, monitor expenditures, identify variances, and implement corrective actions.
  • Oversee facility systems and associated equipment, including preventive and predictive maintenance programs, operating systems, and testing procedures.
  • Perform inspections of the facility to identify and resolve issues.
  • Build and maintain relationships with contractors, OEMs, and service providers.
  • Monitor equipment and spare parts inventory and place orders when necessary.
  • Monitor electrical and hydraulic systems of facilities to ensure functionality.
  • Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities.
  • Coach, mentor, train, and develop maintenance employees to meet current and future business requirements.
  • Maintain maintenance logs and report on daily activities.
  • Champion and ensure compliance with health and safety policies.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

8+ years of maintenance experience, including at least 5 years of supervisory experience.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Knowledge of the technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, and related facility disciplines.

Knowledge of facility machines and equipment.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.

Ability to read and interpret drawings, diagrams, schematics, and sketches.

Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and machinery.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Frequently required to stand, walk, and use hands for the majority of the work shift.

Exposure to loud noises, vibrations, extreme hot and cold temperatures, confined spaces, atmospheric conditions, and other physical conditions and hazards.

This role supports a manufacturing environment and requires regular engagement with facility systems, production support equipment, and site operations.
