The Professional Sales Representative is responsible for achieving sales objectives by effectively implementing marketing strategies and sales plans in the assigned territory while maintaining compliance with all policies that govern sales activity. This role involves providing current, accurate and meaningful product information to physicians/customers to facilitate the sale of Supernus products.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Meets all quarterly sales objectives for Supernus products within the designated territory.
Implements marketing and sales strategies as directed.
Participates in off‑site sales meetings and training programs as required.
Demonstrates mastery of selling skills as outlined in the Initial Sales Training program and subsequent Plan of Action (P.O.A.) meetings.
Demonstrates advanced knowledge of Supernus products, competitive products, and support services.
Demonstrates effective interactions with all company employees.
Maintains up-to-date call records for physicians and other key customers.
Adheres to company policies for distribution of marketing material and samples.
Submits reports and paperwork accurately and on time.
Develops and maintains a physician universe and territory management plan designed for efficient coverage/call frequency on high‑volume physicians and other key customers.
Assists with special projects assigned by management (e.g., managed‑care pull‑through programs, pre‑launch initiatives, customer support outside of designated territory, etc.).
Develops and maintains a positive business climate for the Company.
Consults with Management on unusual problems or situations.
Reads and follows the Company’s policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge & Other Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
2+ years of outside Business‑to‑Business (B2B) sales experience.
Excellent organization, interpersonal and communication skills.
Valid driver’s license.
Sound judgment and decision‑making ability.
Proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint (Microsoft Office).
Documented sales results and examples of awards/achievements.
Other Characteristics
Ability to work independently and as part of a team while maintaining high ethical standards of integrity and quality.
Innovative and dynamic approach to work.
A self‑starter who is comfortable working independently and in a team environment.
Consistent exhibition of Supernus values in interactions with employees, vendors, customers and others.
Capable of performing other duties as assigned by Management.
Authorized to legally work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Physical Requirements / Work Environment / Travel Requirements
Must live or reside within the assigned territory or be willing to relocate within the territory.
Lifting: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently to pick up, move and/or carry objects such as marketing materials and product samples.
Walking: Intermittent walking and moving between locations.
Visual acuity: Required for preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal and operating motor vehicles.
Driving and travel: Field‑based role with expectation of traveling within the assigned territory 5 days a week, Monday through Friday. Valid driver’s license required. Travel, including overnight stays up to 30–50% of the time, may be required depending on the territory.
Availability to work evenings and/or weekends for conferences, training events and sales meetings.
Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas verbally to convey detailed or important instructions accurately, loudly, or quickly.
Compensation: The expected salary range for fully qualified candidates applying for this role is $75,000 to $90,000. This range is the Company’s reasonable expectation for the position and may be modified in the future. Salary within the range will depend on education, relevant experience, knowledge, length of industry experience and organizational needs.
