At Netflix, the Content and Business Product Engineering team builds the technology that powers the company’s content lifecycle from concept to streaming. The Content Foundations Engineering (CFE) group within Content Infrastructure & Solutions (CIS) develops core data and access management platforms that underpin Netflix’s content business. What you will do
Lead a team of software engineers to deliver high-impact results across the content ecosystem. Responsibilities
Partner with Product and cross‑functional stakeholders to define and execute vision and strategy for data platforms. Drive platform adoption across Content and Studio Engineering, ensuring solutions meet stakeholder needs. Act as a technical advisor on data modeling, graph technologies, and distributed data architecture. Build trustful cross‑functional relationships, connect the dots, and prioritize work beyond the scope of the domain. Communicate complex ideas and influence decisions across diverse stakeholders. Balance business needs with engineering principles, invest in foundational work, and pay off technical debt. Lead, coach, hire, and develop a diverse team, fostering accountability and a high‑performance culture. Champion inclusion and diversity, ensuring all voices are heard and respected. Maintain system reliability, 24x7 on‑call operations, and adopt KPIs for system health. Qualifications
At least 3 years of experience building and managing distributed, high‑performing teams with a focus on inclusion and diversity. Strong agility in attracting, retaining, and empowering talent. Experience running highly reliable products and services in enterprise settings, including 24x7 on‑call. Long‑term strategic thinker with a platform mindset and ability to articulate product vision. Skilled at aligning team work with larger business goals and pivoting based on impact. Excellent communication and collaboration skills across global borders. Proven track record delivering timely results on critical priorities amid competing demands. Capacity to bring rigor to decision‑making, reducing ambiguity through data and structured experimentation. Nice to have
Enterprise software and distributed systems experience. Leadership of UI/UX and backend engineering teams. Experience with graph‑based data modeling, RDF, ontologies, or semantic technologies. Compensation
The base salary range for this role is $436,000.00 – $710,000.00 per year. Benefits
