About
About The Role As an Inside Sales Representative, you will play a key role in supporting customers throughout the sales cycle, from initial inquiry through order fulfilment, by providing knowledgeable, responsive, and solutions-oriented support. This role combines technical understanding with customer relationship management and will work closely with engineering, production, and logistics teams to ensure accurate recommendations, timely quotes, and reliable delivery. This position is based out of Mi-Tech’s HQ in Indianapolis, IN, and reports directly to the Head of Sales & Business Development. Your responsibilities include:
Serve as an internal resource for customers in aerospace, defense, medical, electronics, coating technology, and industrial manufacturing sectors
Understand customer requirements and translate them into appropriate material, alloy, or component recommendations
Develop and maintain long-term relationships through responsive, knowledgeable, and solution-oriented service
Manage inbound inquiries, quotes, follow-ups, and customer communication with professionalism and urgency
Build a working knowledge of tungsten, molybdenum, tantalum, and composite materials, including their performance characteristics, applications, and manufacturing processes
Guide customers through both Mi-Tech and Plansee Group product offerings
Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain to confirm feasibility, lead times, and technical accuracy
Prepare accurate quotes, proposals, and order documentation
Maintain CRM records, track opportunities, and support sales forecasting activities
Support trade shows, customer visits, and virtual product demonstrations
Monitor competitor activity and industry trends related to refractory metals and advanced manufacturing
What We Expect from You
A bachelor's degree is a plus
Min. 3 years of experience in customer support, inside sales, or B2B sales support
Experience supporting customers in a manufacturing, industrial, materials, or technical B2B environment
Familiarity with tungsten, molybdenum, or other refractory metals and/or their industrial applications is a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems
Ability to meet requirements to work on ITAR and export-controlled projects
