About
Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain servers and workstations.
Perform system hardening and security audits to ensure compliance with established security policies.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
Implement and maintain system backups and disaster recovery procedures.
Monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement.
Automate routine tasks using scripting languages (e.g., Ansible, Bash, Python).
Collaborate with other IT staff to ensure system stability and availability.
Provide technical support to end users.
Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in systems administration.
Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and procedures.
Qualifications Required
CompTIA Security+ Certification
Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI and SAP eligibility
Working knowledge of Windows server administration.
Experience with system monitoring and performance tuning.
Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python preferred).
Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
3+ years of experience administering Windows and/or Linux systems (e.g., Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu).
Preferred
Experience with Special Access Programs (SAP) within the last 3 years.
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM).
Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
RHCSA Certification.
Linux+ Certification.
6+ years of relevant IT experience and Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
4+ years of relevant IT experience and Master’s degree in a related field.
Travel Occasional travel may be required.
Work Environment This is a 100% on‑site position.
