Job Summary:
Caterpillar’s Electric Power Division has an open opportunity as an Inside Solutions Sales Engineer. The Inside Solutions Sales Engineer will manage activities by coordinating information alignment between customers (demand management) and internal organizations (supply management).
What you will do
Answer product availability inquiries or requests for custom quotes – often gathering pertinent information from the customer.
Develop and support customer relationships to foster new prospects and find opportunities to introduce the organization’s products and services.
Gather and align demand information from various sources and ensure accurate/current forecast information is available to the execution team.
Gather and keep updated open manufacturing capacity and process limitations to ensure accurate/current visibility to supply availability.
Drive and track forecast alignment with supply availability – develop process/tools to do so efficiently.
Customer Focus
Communicates the importance of customer needs/expectations and commits to resolving them.
Researches and verifies customer needs and expectations.
Solicits customer satisfaction feedback and acts on improvement opportunities.
Helps link organizational objectives to customer needs and expectations.
Meets regularly with customers to understand their wants, needs and expectations.
Industry Knowledge
Explains how own organization compares to others in the industry.
Describes key products and services in the industry.
Identifies key industry segments and associated characteristics.
Names key industry players, leaders, and trendsetters.

Top Candidates Will Also Have
Mechanical or electrical engineering degree is highly desired.
Advanced skill with spreadsheet functionality and/or data visualization tools.
Mechanical inclination / intuitive understanding of mechanical systems.
Detail & precision‑oriented personality.
Additional Information
This position is located in Griffin, GA.
Travel up to 10% is required.
Domestic relocation assistance is offered for this position.
Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position.
This position requires the candidate to work a 5‑day‑a‑week schedule in the office.
Summary Pay Range $89,210.00 – $133,810.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
