Required Certification(s) Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or CompTIA Cloud+, or CompTIA Security+, or GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), or GIAC Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP), or GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), or Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
Job Description
Operate and manage network equipment including hubs, routers, switches, bridges, servers, and transmission media.
Configure and optimize network hubs, routers, and switches.
Develop and implement network backup and recovery procedures.
Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues.
Install and maintain network infrastructure device operating system software.
Monitor network capacity and performance.
Patch network vulnerabilities to safeguard information.
Test and maintain network infrastructure including software and hardware devices.
Implement and test network infrastructure contingency and recovery plans.
Establish and maintain network security practices.
Analyze network traffic capacity and performance characteristics.
Develop and validate network security measures.
Prepare and maintain documentation of network configurations and changes.
Education and Background
BS degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Software Engineering.
OR
Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), CompTIA Cloud+, CompTIA Security+, GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH), GIAC Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP), GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC), or Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP).
OR
WarU DCWF 441 Network Operations Specialist - Intermediate Playlist, DISA (441) Training DCWF Network Operations Specialist, NEC 723B Journeyman Communications Course (JCC).
