Job Description and Duties About the Role: State Fund Information Technology has an exciting leadership opportunity for a hands‑on, service‑focused Supervisor II to lead our Client Services, Field Support operational teams. This position is central to delivering responsive, secure, and customer‑centered technology services across State Fund by overseeing daily support operations, elevating service delivery practices, and driving continuous improvement. Under the general direction of the Information Technology Manager I, the Information Technology Supervisor II provides leadership, direction, and oversight for teams responsible for service desk support, endpoint support, incident/request fulfillment, hardware/software troubleshooting, threat vulnerability management, and coordination of technology services across the organization.
As part of this role, you’ll also be responsible for overseeing project management initiatives related to Network Operations and services. This includes planning, executing, and monitoring projects aimed at improving service delivery, implementing new technologies, and supporting IT organizational objectives. Effective collaboration with cross‑functional teams is essential to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
You’ll balance day‑to‑day operational priorities with long‑term service improvements—monitoring workload, service levels, aging tickets, CSAT, threat vulnerability remediation, patching compliance, and other KPIs to ensure timely resolution, accountability, and a consistent customer experience for over 4,300 users.
Hybrid/on‑site work per State Fund’s telework policy. Supervisors are required to go into the office at least once a week for user and staff support.
Special Requirements Effective July 1, 2025, the State of California implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) which reduces an employee’s monthly salary in exchange for leave credits. Employees appointed to this classification will have their monthly salary reduced and will accrue hours of PLP 2025 on the first day of each pay period in accordance with the applicable bargaining contract. The salary range(s) included on this job posting do not reflect the reduction in pay.
