About
Meet with clients and managerial personnel to determine and define specific security management requirements. Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of existing security control measures, identify vulnerabilities that may cause inappropriate or accidental access or destruction/disclosure of information, and establish security controls to eliminate or minimize exposure. Maintain training and awareness programs to ensure owners and clients are aware of their responsibilities. Attend human resources orientation to ensure security awareness is explained. Provide organization‑wide security consulting services. Document all inquiries relating to any perceived or alleged security breach. Perform research on new and improved ways to properly protect the organization’s information assets. Perform established auditing and monitoring analysis to verify compliance with established security policies. Advise information asset owners of recommended control measures and present reports on who has access to the data. Oversee the day‑to‑day access functions performed by security coordinators. Adhere to University and unit‑level policies and procedures and safeguard University assets. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience. Learning Agility: Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and protocols, and adapt to changing priorities and work demands. Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute to a team environment. Technical Proficiency: Skilled in using office software, technology, and relevant computer applications. Communication: Strong and clear written and verbal communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered.
