The role Join the Data and Analytics team in Transmission Digital in a technical delivery role focused on developing trusted, reusable datasets and Power BI semantic models for BI and analytics use cases.
You will help improve the performance, usability and consistency of analytical outputs, working with business teams, product, engineering and architecture to shape models that are scalable, well-structured and aligned to agreed standards.
You will
Lead the analysis and modelling activity required to deliver BI and analytics use cases, working with platform data, operational systems and business managed datasets
Design and develop reusable reporting datasets and Power BI semantic models aligned to architecture guidance and agreed modelling standards
Translate business questions into clear data requirements, working directly with stakeholders and alongside product, engineering and architecture teams
Define and document business logic, data definitions, measures and transformations used within analytical datasets and semantic models
Improve the usability, consistency and performance of analytical datasets and semantic models, supporting scalable BI, self service and advanced analytics delivery
You have
Expert analytical modelling and Power BI semantic modelling skills, with the ability to design scalable, usable and well structured datasets and models
Proven ability to work with complex and sometimes fragmented data sources, including operational systems, spreadsheets and business managed data
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to turn ambiguous business questions into clear data requirements and practical analytics solutions
Experience working in an agile environment, taking ownership of problems, working from loosely defined requirements and engaging directly with stakeholders
Proven ability to work across technical and business teams to define, challenge and deliver practical data solutions
