About
Evaluate and manage athletic injuries. Aid in the prevention of athletic injuries. Conduct health screenings and evaluation of student-athletes. Assist with the administration of insurance claims. Supervise work-study students assigned. Maintain training records and related documents. Assist with the maintenance of inventory. Administer appropriate coverage for practices and competition. Act as liaison between medical staff and head coaches Attend department meetings and execute follow-ups as necessary Support the university's Zero Tolerance policy and educational programs for student-athlete welfare Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Director of Athletics and Athletic Administration.
Requirements Education, Training, and/or Experience: Minimum of a bachelor's degree required. Must be certified or eligible for certification by The Board of Certification (BOC) for Athletic Trainers. Must have current CPR/AED and first aid certification. Knowledge & Skills, Abilities:

Highly proficient with Computer Skills (Microsoft Word Suite and other related software) Ability to make recommendations to the area that will enhance, correct, or streamline program operational activities.
Working Conditions: Working conditions are in an office/gym environment generally free from hazards, well-lit, and ventilated. This is a non-exempt position that may require occasionally working beyond the normally scheduled workweek, modifying existing work schedules, or flexing hours to meet University needs. LIST OF MACHINES, TOOLS, OFFICE EQUIPMENT, MATERIALS, AND OTHER SPECIAL EQUIPMENT USED IN THE PERFORMANCE OF DUTIES: PC, printer, scanner, fax machine, telephone and other relevant office equipment and software.
