Starting Compensation: 70,304 - 83,451 USD Per Year
Working Location: Bakersfield, Ca
Working Hours/Shift: Sunday through Thursday 12:30pm- 9:00pm OR Tuesday through Saturday 12:30pm- 9:00pm

What You Bring To SBHG:
- Associate's degree, Bachelor's degree, graduation from school of licensed vocational nursing, psychiatric technology, or registered nursing required.
- Four (4) years of full-time, direct service with the mentally ill, preferably youth required.
- Experience in an inpatient setting giving direct client services required.
- One (1) year of leadership or supervisory experience in a health care setting preferred.
- Valid California LVN, LPT, RN, AMFT, APCC, ACSW, LMFT, LPCC, LCSW, CRTS, or RTC preferred
How You Will Make A Difference:
- Hires, trains, and supervises youth counselors, and other staff as assigned. Provides new hire and ongoing training to all supervisees.
- Coordinates and directs activities of the PHF with other departments, as needed
- Provides consultation to the Training department, jointly with the Director of Nursing and the Clinical Director, for orientation and continuing childcare education.
- Ensures that the PHF is in compliance with all Federal, State and local regulations pertaining to Patient's Rights. Responsible for reviewing, investigating and providing recommendations for client and family grievances.
- Reviews Youth Counselor documentation for accuracy and provides feedback as necessary.
- Participates as a member of the CS YPHF Management Team and facilitates meetings as appropriate. Coordinates program education on topics as designated by Administrator, Clinical Director, and/or Director of Nursing. Attend safety meetings, clinical organization meetings and other meetings as assigned by Administrator, Clinical Director, and/or Director of Nursing.
Division/Program Overview:
- 24/7 inpatient involuntary high acute psychiatric program
- 16-bed facility for acute youth (ages 5-17), dealing with acute psychiatric symptoms
- Intensive treatment programs with individualized care plans
- Available for contracting Central Valley counties
- Moves clients through five phases: admission; engagement; learning; stabilization and linkage to resources and aftercare
