INDUSTRIAL SECURITY ANALYST – SKILLBRIDGE INTERN Location: Newport News, Virginia, United States Posting Date: Dec 2, 2025 Role Overview This is an unpaid internship through the Hire Vets Now (HVN) SkillBridge Program, targeting transitioning active‑duty U.S. military personnel with 180 days remaining in service. The internship focuses on developing and administering security programs for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. Responsibilities Develop, administer, and maintain security programs and procedures for classified or proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. Study and implement federal security regulations applicable to company operations. Obtain rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies. Prepare manuals outlining regulations, establishing procedures for handling, storing, and retaining records, and for granting access to restricted records and materials. Conduct security education classes and security audits. Investigate security violations and prepare reports specifying preventive actions. Qualifications Active‑Duty U.S. Military personnel within the final 180 days of active‑duty service (transitioning military candidates may apply within the final 12 months of service). Education and experience requirements tailored to the Program of Instruction (details provided by the Program of Instruction). Preferred Qualifications Experience or coursework related to security administration, federal security regulations, or related subjects.
