What You’ll Do Architecture & Reliability
Design and implement High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions using:
Oracle Data Guard / Active Data Guard / RAC
SQL Server Always‑On Availability Groups
PostgreSQL replication
Lead DR drills and ensure alignment with RTO/RPO objectives
Performance & Optimization
Conduct deep‑drive performance tuning leveraging:
AWR, ASH, SQL Trace, TKPROF, DBMS_XPLAN
Optimize complex PL/SQL and high‑volume transaction workloads
Implement SQL Plan Baselines and advanced tuning strategies
Backup, Recovery & Data Protection
Architect enterprise backup and recovery strategies using:
RMAN, Data Pump, GoldenGate
Support cloning, migration, and cross‑platform data movement
Cloud & Platform Engineering
Deploy and manage databases across:
AWS (RDS, Aurora, EC2)
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
Drive monitoring, security, and cost optimization using:
CloudWatch, IAM, KMS, OCI Monitoring
Security & Compliance
Implement advanced security controls:
Transparent Data Encryption (TDE)
Unified Auditing, Database Vault
Ensure compliance with standards such as PCI, SOX
Cross‑Platform Database Support
Support SQL Server (T‑SQL, SSMS, Always‑On)
Manage PostgreSQL environments (replication, extensions)
Provide guidance on NoSQL platforms (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis)
Automation & Innovation
Develop advanced shell scripting frameworks with logging and error handling
Leverage AI/ML tools for:
Anomaly detection
Predictive performance tuning
Proactive incident prevention
Explore GenAI‑assisted automation for SQL optimization and documentation
Leadership & Strategy
Mentor and develop junior DBAs
Lead database initiatives and contribute to enterprise architecture decisions
Review and guide schema design for scalability and performance
What You’ll Bring
6–12 years of hands‑on DBA experience in enterprise environments
Deep expertise in Oracle database administration and PL/SQL development
Strong background in:
Performance tuning and query optimization
Backup/recovery (RMAN, Data Guard, GoldenGate)
Cloud platforms (AWS, OCI)
Experience supporting SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases
Advanced skills in:
Shell scripting and automation
Database security and compliance
Schema design, indexing, partitioning
Strong Linux/Unix administration and OS‑level tuning expertise
Exposure to AI/ML‑driven monitoring and automation tools
Excellent communication skills and proven ability to lead and mentor teams
Preferred Certifications
Oracle Database Administration Certified Professional (OCP)
AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
AWS Certified Database – Specialty
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Associate
Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate

Paid Time Off: Eligible to begin accrual from date of hire; accrual amount based on years of service. Beginning accrual rate equivalent to 22 days per year. 10 holidays which include the day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Eve. Up to 240 hours of PTO can roll over to the following year.
Volunteer Time: 8 hours per year
Retirement: Robust 401K. Following one year of eligible service, the Company contributes in two ways: (1) match of 100% of each dollar you contribute on the first five percent (5%) of eligible compensation, and (2) Employer basic contribution of 4% of base salary (with increases in basic contribution percentage based on years of service). Employees are 100% vested in Company funded contributions from the date they enter the plan.
