About
Conduct daily jobsite safety audits and inspections. Monitor field crews to ensure OSHA and site-specific safety compliance. Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and safety training sessions. Assist with incident investigations, reporting, and corrective action implementation. Ensure proper use of PPE and fall protection equipment. Coordinate with Superintendents, Foremen, and project leadership regarding safety concerns. Assist with new hire orientations and safety onboarding procedures. Maintain safety documentation, reports, and compliance records. Identify and mitigate hazards related to steel erection, rigging, crane activities, and material handling. Promote a positive safety culture across all project sites.
** Requirements:**
OSHA 30 Certification (Required). Minimum 2 years of construction safety experience preferred. Steel construction experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety standards. Understanding of fall protection, rigging, crane safety, and steel erection practices. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. ** Reliable transportation** and ability to travel throughout the DMV area.
** Work Environment:**
Commercial and industrial construction sites. Indoor and outdoor work environments. Exposure to active construction operations, heavy equipment, and changing weather conditions.
