About

We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer for the PA Health Data Platforms team to play a core part in the software development, maintenance and delivery process of complex cloud‑based systems delivering sensitive clinical data.
Responsibilities
Ensure the highest quality standards for our products through test planning, design and execution.
Apply manual and automated testing, including API and UI testing, to validate end‑to‑end web application interactions.
Collaborate with developers, product owners and cross‑functional teams to define and execute test strategies within agile frameworks.
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and contribute to DevOps practices.
Maintain reliable and scalable test environments using version control, database management and scripting.
Qualifications
7-10 years of industry experience as a QA Engineer.
Hands‑on experience with test automation tools and frameworks, including Playwright or similar.
Familiarity with Behavior‑Driven Development (BDD) using frameworks such as Cucumber.
Experience in implementing both API and UI testing to validate end‑to‑end web app interactions.
Ability to balance manual and automated testing efforts.
Solid understanding of test planning, design and overall management of the QA lifecycle.
Practical experience with functional, regression, exploratory and manual testing methodologies.
Skills in defining and executing test strategies within agile frameworks.
Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
Proficiency in version control and environment provisioning.
Knowledge of SQL for querying and managing databases in test environments.
Experience with Shell/Bash scripting to automate test workflows.
Strong collaboration and communication skills to advocate for QA best practices.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
The salary range for this role is between $118,000 - $180,000.
We operate a discretionary hybrid working model, requiring staff to be in the office at least two days a week.
