Program Manager Opportunity
Bowhead seeks a Program Manager for a recently awarded contract in Patuxent River, MD. The Program Manager will analyze and coordinate the schedule, timeline, procurement, staffing, and budget of this contract. They will be required to lead and guide the work of the administrative staff and may be called upon to serve as a point of contact for the client or customer.
Responsibilities- Acting as the overall lead, manager and administrator for the contracted effort.
- Serving as the primary interface and point of contact with Government program authorities and representatives on technical and program/project issues.
- Overseeing contractor personnel program/project operations.
- Organizing, directing and coordinating the planning and production of all contract and subcontract support activities.
- Analyzing and coordinating the schedule, timeline, procurement, staffing, and budget of a product or service on a per project basis.
- Leading and guiding the work of administrative staff.
- May serve as a point of contact for the client or customer.
- Other duties as required.
- A BS or BA degree in Business Administration, Management or other relevant technical discipline is required in addition to at least six (6+) years of professional experience in an office operation or management support contract. An AS or AA degree and an additional four (4) years of experience may be substituted for a BA/BS or an additional eight (8) years of experience may be substituted for a BA/BS for highly qualified candidates.
- A minimum of 5 years supervisory/Team Lead experience desired.
- This individual must have direct experience supporting the corporate operations for a major Legislative or Department of Defense (DoD) Echelon Command / Secretariat; past experience supporting a Navy or Marine Corps Command Element preferred.
- Experience in performing financial and administrative requirements, to include: project controls, strategic management procedures and senior level communication is also required.
- Demonstrated knowledge to management and operations of Department of Navy Systems Commands.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Sharepoint and the standard Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
- Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
