Position Overview
The Staff Field Applications Engineer (FAE) will serve as the primary pre‑ and post‑sales technical support contact for Luxshare’s key customers in the San Jose area. This role is critical to driving revenue growth by engaging with key customers, securing design wins using Luxshare power products and services, and providing expert technical guidance. The Staff FAE will also be responsible for identifying and communicating current and emerging customer power technical needs to enhance tactical and strategic product positioning, while working closely with the local sales team and product lines.
Key Responsibilities Revenue Growth & Business Development
Contribute to Luxshare US revenue growth through direct and indirect technical activities.
Identify and secure new business opportunities to expand Luxshare’s market presence.
Act as a local subject matter expert, presenting Luxshare power products and technologies to key customers and participating in the definition of customer system architectures.
Customer Engagement & Technical Support
Develop a solid technical understanding of Luxshare power products and relevant solutions.
Share technical knowledge to build trust and confidence with customer power engineering teams.
Provide frequent on‑site technical support, ensuring customer expectations are met or exceeded.
Build strong customer relationships and be recognized as an extension of the customer’s power engineering development team.
Product & Market Intelligence
Provide regular feedback to product lines to help define new products and improvements.
Gather insights on market trends, competitor activities, and emerging power architectures.
Serve as a trusted source of market and customer trends for product lines, management, and field teams.
Collaboration & Leadership
Work closely with sales, product management, and engineering teams to align on customer needs and product strategy.
Mentor, teach, and coach other FAEs, including new college graduates and interns.
Maintain a proactive and agile mindset, focusing on value‑added activities that drive revenue growth.
Qualification
BSEE/MSEE with 5+ years of experience in power management and analog systems.
Hands‑on experience with point‑of‑load DC‑DC power conversion and multiphase DCDC solutions (e.g., Intel/AMD CPU, ASIC, FPGA power).
Simulation experience and strong skills in schematic/layout review, lab measurement, debugging, and problem‑solving.
Team player with an outgoing personality and a strong desire to win.
Ability to develop customer relationships, build trust, and integrate into customer engineering teams.
Agile, proactive, and results‑oriented with a focus on driving revenue growth.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels.
Willingness to travel locally up to 50% to support key customers.
