Responsibilities
Design application architecture using Java frameworks such as Spring Boot, considering scalability, performance, and maintainability.
Resolve high‑impact business and system problems through deep evaluation of processes and industry standards.
Implement complex algorithms and data structures to optimize application performance; develop unit tests to ensure quality.
Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, or upgrade interfaces for improved performance.
Deliver application development projects on schedule and within scope, maintaining high levels of stability through continuous improvement of the development lifecycle.
Develop coding, testing, debugging, and implementation standards; design and structure data within the information system.
Create deployment scripts for Linux environments and automate application or service deployment.
Ensure all platform components meet firm standards; collaborate with team, PMO, and clients to secure successful releases.
Assist with project management activities.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Applications, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field AND at least 4 years as a Senior Software Engineer, Architect or equivalent in financial applications for institutional clients; OR bachelor’s degree with 6+ years progressive experience.
Full span experience in Java, object‑oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, multithreading, exception handling; Spring Framework (Core, MVC, Data, Security) and Spring Boot; microservices and RESTful APIs.
Experience with cloud deployment (Docker, Kubernetes) and unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito).
Database management skills (Oracle, SQL, Sybase) and web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular).
Knowledge of software engineering principles, information system analysis, architecture, UML, and data modeling.
Wage Range $189,592 to $220,000.
