Systems Administrator Linux SME – LINUX Grow your impact. Grow your career. In this role you will provide mission‑critical support for a long‑standing Prime contract that requires rock‑solid Linux expertise. You’ll work in a fast‑paced setting where your decisions matter and your technical leadership is valued. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, manage, and maintain Linux systems, including virtualization platforms and cloud computing environments. Determine network specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. Identify, analyze, and resolve network issues. Implement security measures in coordination with the ISSO, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with customer security policies. Partner with software developers and IT stakeholders to support system integration, patch workflows, and maintenance activities. Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools that reduce manual effort and increase operational efficiency. Maintain systems with software updates, patches, and upgrades while validating functionality and compatibility. Create and update system documentation including configurations, processes, and procedures. What You’ll Need to Succeed Bachelor’s degree in a technical field. 10+ years of related experience. SME‑level proficiency with Linux operating systems. Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance. US citizenship. Demonstrated experience with virtual machines, thin clients, switches, and networking responsibilities. Desired Skills Strong hands‑on experience with AWS. Work Details Salary range: $170,000 - $230,000. Scheduled weekly hours: 40. Travel required: none. Telecommuting options: onsite work only. Primary work location: USA, MD, Annapolis Junction.
