Responsibilities:
Participate in and coordinate Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions with development teams to represent the interests of business stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs). Facilitate business requirements gathering sessions, synthesize ideas, track discussions, and provide clear summaries in oral and written form using Microsoft Office tools.
Perform validation of documented business requirements against business processes and verification of developed software through User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Define and document functional specifications and software test plans using Microsoft Office and the department’s change and configuration management system.
Identify and document opportunities to improve workflow efficiency and ease of software enhancements. Prepare and submit end‑user documentation, release documentation, process flows, and help screens. Manage application change requests through the change and configuration management system.
Provide daily support for the Department’s electronic health record, patient portal, and related systems, including answering inquiries via email and phone, researching user issues, and logging interactions in the customer ticketing system.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficient computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); knowledge of monitoring processes, ticketing software, and computer databases; understanding of laws, legal codes and government regulations; strong written and verbal communication; ability to conduct fact‑finding research, organize data, and work independently with high accuracy. Knowledge of software configuration, release management, architecture, design, coding, testing, and debugging; ability to communicate technical data processing information effectively.
Qualifications:
Preferred:
Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
At least two (2) years of professional experience in an Information Technology role, including process documentation, troubleshooting, and technical support.
Minimum:
At least four (4) years of professional experience in an Information Technology role, including process documentation, troubleshooting, and technical support.
Location: Tallahassee, FL
