About

Position: System Administrator – RedHat Linux (Onsite) What You Will Do Responsibilities include: Provide system administration for heterogeneous RedHat8 &9 Enterprise Linux environments. Utilize virtualization and containerization technologies such as VMware vCenter, vSphere, Horizon, ESXi, KVM, Podman, Docker, and Kubernetes/OpenShift. Collaborate with engineers, software developers, systems administrators, storage, networking, and high-performance computing teams to resolve complex infrastructure and integration challenges. Partner with cybersecurity teams to ensure continuous compliance with regulatory and security frameworks such as DFARS, RMF, and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework. Provide critical on‑site support for mission systems in a closed DoD area, responding to both planned and emergent tasks, with occasional work outside standard hours and up to 10% travel. Obtain and maintain DoD8140/8570 certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ or equivalent) within six months of hire. Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to support business needs, including adjusting to shift changes. Qualifications Must Have Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent academic experience. U.S. citizenship required; active and transferable secret‑level U.S. government‑issued security clearance required at start. Extensive experience with RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) installation, administration, patching, and troubleshooting in enterprise environments. Experience with secure system configuration, hardening, and application settings, and tailoring Linux environments to security requirements. Practical knowledge of virtualization and containerization platforms (VMware, KVM, Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift). Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, Perl, or C for provisioning, patching, and lifecycle management. Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible and RedHat Satellite. Preferred Leadership, teamwork, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. Deep experience with RHEL ecosystem, including authentication and identity services (SSSD, LDAP, Kerberos, NIS) and file sharing/integration services (Samba, NFS). Proficiency with enterprise storage systems (e.g., NetApp) and virtual desktop infrastructure technologies (Horizon, Profile Unity, NVIDIA GPU virtualization). Knowledge of monitoring, vulnerability scanning, and compliance assessment tools (ACAS, Splunk, Nessus, SCAP, STIG, Nagios, SolarWinds). Working knowledge of security frameworks (CMMC, NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS, DoD RMF). Benefits Relocation eligible as per company policy. Salary range: $86,800–$165,200 USD.
