About
Job Description Allstate Investments manages approximately $85 billion of assets. Our goal is to provide sustainable, competitive, risk-adjusted investment returns and investment-related services for the benefit of The Allstate Corporation. We attribute our successful track record in large part to the quality of our people. The size of the investment group exceeds 300 individuals across a variety of asset classes including fixed income, equities, derivatives, and private assets, with our own investments technology team supporting our platforms. We recognize that our employees are our ultimate advantage and we seek to attract and retain highly qualified individuals with strong academic backgrounds, a deep interest in investments and a desire to be challenged. You’ll do all this in an environment of excellence and the highest ethical standards – a place where values such as integrity, inclusive diversity and accountability are paramount.
This position is a hybrid role, meaning your schedule may consist of time in an office setting and time working remotely from your home. The hybrid model is intended to provide greater flexibility – and will mean something different to each team, job and employee. Office presence is driven by the nature of the work and team needs. You’ll work from home for the remainder of the time you’re not in the office. This position is eligible for a monthly connectivity reimbursement to offset the costs of internet and phone expenses.
Role Overview We are seeking a highly analytical problem‑solver to join our Investment Analytics team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on answering complex questions—especially when the data doesn’t immediately make sense.
You will work at the intersection of investment teams, analytics platforms, and data systems, partnering directly with senior investment leaders to design new analytics, investigate complex issues, and improve how data supports decision‑making. This is a high‑visibility, front‑office‑facing role focused on building and evolving analytics capabilities—not routine operations. The team operates as a nimble, high‑impact group, quickly adapting to new challenges and developing solutions. Our team brings analytics ideas to life across risk, performance, asset allocation, and research. We own delivery of new and enhanced capabilities from start to finish.
What You’ll Do
Collaborate on analytics solutions that help investment teams assess performance, risk, and portfolio positioning more effectively.
Partner directly with portfolio managers, analysts, and senior leaders to identify workflow gaps and develop better analytics‑driven solutions.
Establish new pipelines and data curation workflows to support improved investment solutions.
Redesign legacy processes to improve transparency, add scale, and support future initiatives.
Integrate new data sources and vendors into investment workflows.
Partner with other teams to troubleshoot analytical outputs across performance, risk, and portfolio analytics.
Transform ad‑hoc analyses into repeatable tools, workflows, or data solutions that improve scale and consistency.
Core Capabilities
Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills.
Resourcefulness and persistence to work through issues independently.
Strong curiosity and desire to learn.
Effective communicator and fearlessness to ask questions.
Experience
3+ years in a hands‑on investment analytics, data, or a related role.
Fixed‑income expertise and familiarity (credit, municipals, rates).
Insurance asset management experience is a plus.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in SQL and Python.
Familiarity with enterprise investment platforms such as Aladdin.
Experience with market data providers—Bloomberg, S&P, CreditScope, Intex, Octus, etc.
Comfortable using AI‑enabled tools to improve research, analysis, or workflow efficiency.
Who This Role Is For
Wants to learn through being challenged.
Operates independently to solve problems.
Approaches obstacles pragmatically.
Benefits Compensation offered for this role is $105,500.00 – $153,500.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
