About
As a Field Applications Engineer, you’ll play a key role in enabling business development and customer adoption of ASML’s tailored, sustainable solutions. You’ll apply your technical expertise and industry knowledge to optimize scanner performance and enhance on‑product results in collaboration with customers and global ASML teams.
This role offers the opportunity to grow into a recognized technical expert, representing ASML with integrity and professionalism. You’ll work closely with customers, translating their needs into actionable solutions while maintaining confidentiality. The position also opens pathways to deepen your technical expertise or pursue leadership roles in projects or management.
Role and responsibilities
Lead or support customer transitions to new technology nodes, ensuring smooth ramp‑up and performance optimization.
Translate customer on‑product issues into actionable lithography or metrology problem statements and drive resolution.
Define and communicate customer requirements for ASML products, leveraging deep technical engagement and collaboration.
Conduct data analysis to extract meaningful insights from experimental results and guide product usage.
Identify opportunities for ASML applications product improvements and contribute to strategic development.
Prepare and deliver technical presentations, maintain strong customer relationships, and ensure alignment across internal and external stakeholders.
Education and experience
PhD in a technical field.
Minimum 6 months experience in a technical workstream or customer focused role within the semiconductor industry.
Minimum 2 years’ experience with MATLAB or Python.
Minimum 2 years' experience in data analysis and analyzing technical data to summarize and present findings.

Other information
Up to 15% travel is included in the job for training and on‑site support.
Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch.
Occasionally required to move around the campus.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work.
