Position Overview Responsible for working with the TEAM Quality Management System as it pertains to the control, disposition and execution of the quality policy and procedures for Machining functions.
Responsibilities
Ensure a safe work environment for self and others; follow all safety rules and regulations; demonstrate commitment to the safety program.
Work directly with machine operators to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
Assist in problem solving and corrective action completion, including the use of 6D, 5Why and other tools.
Assist Quality Engineers in controlling, handling, and dispositioning non-conforming material.
Be assigned to special projects.
Lead groups through positive persuasion, motivation, and conflict resolution.
Collaborate with people throughout the production process.
Develop sorting techniques utilizing gages, micrometers and indicators.
Proficient in the use of mechanical inspection equipment including calipers, micrometers, indicators, go/no‑go gauges and other mechanical inspection equipment.
Accurately complete reports and all necessary paperwork for the jobs.
Regularly meet or exceed efficiency requirements.
Participate actively in CIP events to improve safety, quality and efficiencies of current processes and procedures.
Support and positively contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Communicate with supervisor and co‑workers professionally.
Demonstrate commitment to the TEAM Industries Quality Management System and objectives.
Promote a positive atmosphere and support activities that promote the welfare and morale of TEAM employees.
Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
Qualifications Education & Experience:
2‑year technical certificate in a manufacturing/engineering discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 6 months manufacturing and assembly experience with some inspection experience using standard gauging techniques.
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record; travel to other facilities may be required; must be on TEAM’s drivers’ list.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to follow work instructions.
Ability to vary work hours to meet requirements.
Ability to work with blueprints and small lettering.
Good communication skills.
Self‑starter who can stay on task with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis is preferred.
Training
Reference OJT.
Physical Demands
Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.; occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 lbs.; rarely lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand up to 100% of shift.
Ability to perform repetitive movements (bending, twisting, walking, crouching).
