Join Our Growing Mortgage Team
We are seeking a
motivated and detail-oriented Junior Loan Processor
to join our expanding mortgage team in Tustin. This position plays a key role in supporting the loan process from application to closing while ensuring files are accurate, compliant, and moving efficiently through underwriting. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong communication skills, and enjoys helping borrowers successfully navigate the home financing process.
Responsibilities
Review mortgage loan applications and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy Collect, verify, and analyze borrower documentation including
income, assets, credit, title, and appraisal reports Submit loan files to underwriting and assist with clearing underwriting conditions Maintain consistent communication with
loan officers, borrowers, escrow, and third-party vendors Order and track services such as
VOEs, VODs, title reports, insurance, and fraud checks Ensure loan files meet lender and agency guidelines including
FHA, VA, Conventional, Non-QM, and DSCR programs Monitor loan pipeline to ensure deadlines and contract closing dates are met Prepare files for final approval and coordinate with escrow for closing and funding Provide excellent customer service by keeping borrowers and internal teams informed throughout the process
Qualifications
2+ years of mortgage industry experience preferred Familiarity with
Automated Underwriting Systems (DU / LP) Experience with mortgage
Loan Origination Systems (Encompass preferred) Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple loan files Excellent communication and customer service skills High attention to detail and strong problem-solving ability Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
