Position Overview The Operations & Data Analytics Intern supports a strategic digitization and data infrastructure initiative at Industrial Lumber Sales' Moultrie, Georgia facility. This role sits at the intersection of Corporate Finance and Corporate Operations, offering cross‑functional exposure across both corporate and local levels of the organization.
Reporting to the Corporate Performance Controller, the intern will lead a phased engagement focused on building a complete digital product catalog, populating a Bill of Materials (BOM) and yield database using AI‑assisted tooling, and—contingent on phase completion—supporting the development of a product costing tool for Corporate Finance.
This internship is well‑suited for a motivated, detail‑oriented student or recent graduate with an interest in operations, data management, or business analytics who is eager to contribute to real business outcomes in a manufacturing and distribution environment.

Key Responsibilities Phase1 — Digital Product Catalog
Support the entering, formatting, and organization of all product data into a structured digital format in accordance with the Design Team's standards.
Scan and digitize physical engineering drawings, designs, and product documentation.
Conduct accuracy reviews of catalog entries and reconcile discrepancies with local Operations staff and the Design Team.
Prepare handoff documentation summarizing catalog structure and assumptions made during digitization.
Phase2 — Product BOM &Yield Database
Review and contribute to the architecture and structure of the BOM product database, building on the Phase1 catalog schema.
Research and compile Bill of Materials (BOM) and yield data for each catalog item, supported by AI tooling and internal Excel tools.
Input BOM and yield data into the database structure and conduct live validation for accuracy, completeness, and usability.
Prepare transition documentation for Corporate Finance, Operations, and Design teams upon phase completion.
Support the Corporate Finance Team in developing a product costing tool leveraging live database and BOM data outputs from Phases1and2.
Phase3 — Product Costing Tool (to be defined) Scope, tasks, and deliverables for Phase3 will be defined in a subsequent written amendment, subject to mutual agreement to extend the engagement.
General Responsibilities
Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout each phase of the engagement.
Communicate progress, blockers, and questions to the Corporate Performance Controller on a regular basis.
Coordinate with local Operations staff at the Moultrie, GA facility and the Design Team to gather required product information.
Adhere to all Company policies, confidentiality requirements, and professional standards.
Qualifications & Requirements Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a post‑secondary program in Business Administration, Operations Management, Data Analytics, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
Academic exposure to data management, operations, supply chain, or finance is an asset.
Experience
No prior professional experience required; co‑op, internship, or project‑based experience in operations or data analytics is an asset.
Demonstrated ability to work with structured data in a self‑directed capacity (academic or professional).
Technical Proficiency
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable working with large datasets.
Familiarity with SharePoint, Microsoft 365, or similar collaboration platforms.
Working knowledge or demonstrated interest in AI‑assisted tools and data entry workflows.
Experience with database design or BOM structures is an asset but not required.

Physical Effort Standard office mobility; extended periods of computer use, data entry, and document review.
Mental Effort Requires sustained focus and accuracy during large‑scale data entry and catalog digitization tasks. Ability to manage multiple sequential phases with clear deliverables and timelines.
