About

Job Description This position is responsible for supporting the acquisition, integration, qualification, and development of a state‑of‑the‑art engineering analysis software toolkit that enables the design and licensing of the next generation of nuclear power reactors. This includes decisions based on business objectives, allocated resources, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities Support the delivery of internally developed analysis software (installation files, documentation, testing, user support). Produce Verification and Validation (V&V) documentation and Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) packages for all relevant analysis software. Control and maintain analysis software in accordance with the Quality Assurance program implementing NQA‑1 and other relevant standards. Support project managers and leads for development of analysis software. Support the execution of the project plans for each area. Partner with appropriate managers to ensure sufficient staffing, resourcing, and recruitment for supporting software services. Collaborate with team members to ensure that validation covers the design requirements specified for full code qualification. Work with managers to ensure alignment of requirements. Act as single point of contact for software services contractors. Support the management of performance, acceptance, and quality assurance of contractor work product. Manage execution and periodic updating of the Quality Assurance Program’s software procedures. Maintain professional demeanor and behavior in all forms of communication. Perform other duties as assigned by the manager. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related discipline from an accredited university or college. Typically ten years of engineering experience; graduate degrees typically count as two plus years. Experience with analysis software verification and validation (V&V). Experience in using or developing analysis software under a heavily regulated quality assurance regime (e.g., nuclear systems design, nuclear safety analysis, flight control software, safety‑related industrial controls, or similar such as computer software used to control plant SSCs). Location 530 Gaither Road, Rockville, MD. Position Classification Full time - Exempt. Work Site Expectations 4‑5 days in office. Travel Expectations Up to 10% as needed for project assignment. Hours Standard office hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm ET, Monday – Friday. Compensation Estimated salary range: $137,838 to $229,729.
