Position Overview: As an Electrical Superintendent, you will bring expertise in industrial electrical installations including underground duct bank, above ground conduit, cable tray, cable pulling (power circuits, control and instrumentation), terminations (MV, LV, C&I) and installation of electrical equipment. In this role, you will spend time in the field, ensuring the safety, quality and productivity of the operations under your responsibility.
District Overview: Kiewit Power Constructors (KPC) provides direct-hire construction services for power generation utilizing a union craft force. Kiewit Power Constructors builds major EPC power plant and solar farm projects throughout North America. Responsibilities: Provide supervisory direction of craft workers managing the performance of safety, quality and production. Plan, schedule and execute field operations ensuring compliance with contract specifications, electrical code requirements and quality procedures for your assigned scope of work. Coordinate and interface with other superintendents and subcontractors, to ensure smooth workflow and schedule adherence. Resolve employee conflicts, grievances, and scheduling difficulties, informing project and corporate management as appropriate. Ensure project rules, procedures and programs are followed consistently, including those involving safety, attendance, and workplace behavior standards as reflected in Company's non-harassment and nondiscrimination policies.
Qualifications: Ability to travel and relocate as needed. 5+ years of work experience in industrial electrical installation scopes of work. Candidates for this role are not required to have Superintendent experience, those who have performed as a foreman or general foreman are encouraged to apply. Demonstrated ability to efficiently supervise and evaluate craft performance. Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative. Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time. Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity. Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt. Team player with the ability to meet deadlines, goals and objectives. Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail.
Other Requirements: Regular, reliable attendance. Work productively and meet deadlines timely. Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment. Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. May work at various different locations and conditions may vary.
