Role Description The Sales Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in Birmingham, AL, with a mix of in-person and work-from-home responsibilities. This role focuses on generating new residential business, managing inbound leads, and building strong relationships with homeowners seeking fencing solutions. Day-to-day tasks include conducting onsite and virtual consultations, preparing accurate estimates, presenting product options, and guiding customers through the sales process from initial contact to signed contract. The Sales Manager will track and manage opportunities in our CRM, follow up on open quotes, and collaborate with installation teams to ensure project details are accurate and customer expectations are clearly communicated. The role also involves analyzing local market trends, supporting marketing efforts, and continuously improving sales processes to achieve revenue and customer satisfaction goals.
Qualifications
Proven skills in residential sales, consultative selling, and closing deals, preferably in home improvement or construction services.
Strong relationship-building, customer service, and communication abilities, including clear, professional verbal and written communication.
Experience with territory management, lead follow-up, and pipeline management using CRM or similar systems.
Ability to read property layouts, take accurate measurements, and translate customer needs into practical fencing solutions.
Basic understanding of construction or fencing materials and installation processes, or willingness to learn quickly.
Comfort with a hybrid work environment, including in-home visits in the Birmingham area and remote administrative work.
Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation for customer visits, and ability to work some evenings or weekends as needed.
Previous leadership or team coordination experience is a plus, with the ability to collaborate closely with installation teams and management.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, marketing, or a related field is beneficial.
