Position Business Analyst
Location Onsite, Boston, MA
Experience level 3 Months Contract
Job Overview We are seeking for Lead delivery on the ground for the assessment. Embedded with the client's Insurance Operations team, you will own the activity catalogue, drive the Lean assessment, and shape the automation and process improvement roadmap. A hands‑on, client‑facing role requiring strong insurance domain knowledge and delivery on an accelerated timeline.
Key Responsibility
Catalogue manual Policy Services activities and categorize by operating channel and automation maturity.
Validate operational metrics (AHT, volumes) and flag inconsistencies across data sources.
Run a Lean‑based evaluation of activities by volume, complexity, criticality, and business value.
Identify opportunities to maintain, eliminate, redesign, or automate (Guidewire, RPA, AI).
Assess operational controls, regulatory requirements, risk, and customer/agency experience
Analyze operational metrics (AHT, volumes) and identify gaps and inconsistencies.
Build process maps and current state documentation.
Support the Lean assessment by scoring activities on volume, complexity, criticality, and value.
Research and document automation feasibility (Guidewire enhancements, RPA, AI).
Help develop the roadmap and prepare deliverables, including the executive summary.
Coordinate with the on‑site analyst across US Eastern hours to keep work streams in sync.
Requirements
6+ years as a Business Analyst supporting insurance or financial services operations (back‑office preferred).
Working knowledge of process analysis and Lean concepts.
Strong data analysis (advanced Excel) and process‑mapping skills (Visio, Lucidchart, or similar).
Awareness of automation approaches (RPA, system enhancements, AI) and feasibility evaluation.
Clear written and verbal English; able to work overlapping US Eastern hours.
Preferred Skills
Guidewire or other P&C core systems; Lean Six Sigma certification; RPA tool experience; prior offshore delivery for US engagements.
