The Business Development Representative, reporting directly to the VP of Sales, will play a key role in driving new customer acquisition and expanding market presence within the local region. This position partners closely with operations leadership, prospective clients, and internal teams to identify business opportunities, build strong customer relationships, and deliver staffing and workforce solutions tailored to client needs. Ideal candidates are proactive, relationship-driven sales professionals with a passion for business development and a strong ability to understand and communicate the value of Staff Management | SMX | SIMOS solutions in solving customer challenges.
Location: Raleigh, NC
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Actively prospect and acquire new customers within the designated territory through effective networking and lead development.
- Identify growth opportunities and prospects for new customer acquisition.
- Implement strategic sales initiatives to meet and surpass sales targets.
- Consult customers to understand their business needs and offer creative solutions to solve workforce needs.
- Work with the Market Engagement team to build sales outreach and territory account targets.
- Effectively sell the Staff Management | SMX | SIMOS service offerings.
- Collaborate with Staff Management | SMX | SIMOS contracts and legal teams to negotiate contract terms effectively.
- Proactively cross-sell opportunities across all TrueBlue brands and neighboring markets.
- Utilize appropriate technology and tools to develop and maintain comprehensive account management and growth strategies, including Salesforce, ZoomInfo, and Sales Navigator.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and market developments to effectively position TrueBlue products and services.
- Collaborate with Onsite Operations personnel and leadership to build impactful in-market relationships.
Associate's Degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience considered. 3+ years of sales or related experience required, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and the ability to understand, adapt, and apply new technologies. Valid driver license, registered vehicle, and vehicle insurance.

Capable of prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines effectively under pressure. Demonstrates analytical abilities, including analyzing order, associate, and customer data to drive informed decisions and achieve outcomes. Competitive drive with a results-oriented mindset. Capable of establishing rapport and building relationships with a wide range of individuals. Ability to understand and navigate multiple, diverse perspectives from clients. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.com, leveraging technology for efficient sales management and reporting. Clear, concise and professional communication in both written and verbal forms. Ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs, customer demands, and market conditions.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position will not have any direct supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment and Physical DemandsRemote office work environment; frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and/or hear for long periods of time. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Travel is required as part of the job. Visits to customer sites or local branches required.
Salary Range$65,900 - $79,100 annually, depending on experience and geographic location, plus eligibility for incentive pay, subject to plan terms. Please note that actual compensation offered may vary based on local pay requirements, and will meet or exceed state-specific minimum wage or salary thresholds.
