The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Medical Student Education has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Program Coordinator to work in Miami, FL. The Program Coordinator of SP/OSCE Data coordinates day-to-day operations of the program. Moreover, the incumbent assists with the development, organization, production, and evaluation of the program to achieve its mission, goals, and objectives.

Core Job Functions

  • Acts as a liaison to program constituents.
  • Assist with the preparation and/or delivery of program content.
  • Facilitates collaboration between different schools, community agencies, and/or academic support units throughout the University.
  • Coordinates the collection, compilation, and analysis of program activity data.
  • Drafts comprehensive, statistical, and/or narrative program reports and evaluations, and monitors program effectiveness, making suggestions for revisions when appropriate.
  • Coordinates the scheduling of program components.
  • Drafts and initiates correspondence, develops agendas, maintains calendars, assists in accumulation of reference materials, and coordinates and attends committee meetings.
  • Assists with the development and implementation of program marketing.
  • Provides assistance and support for participants and/or program constituents in all administrative aspects of the program and maintains files and/or program data.
  • Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Department Specific Functions

Assessment Data Management:

  • Collaborate with the Manager and Director to collect, organize, and verify assessment data from OSCEs using Qualtrics.
  • Conduct basic analysis of assessment data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of SP performance evaluations and learner outcomes.

Reporting and Communication:

  • Assist the Manager and Director in preparing detailed reports on OSCE outcomes and SP program effectiveness.
  • Contribute to presentations or documents for stakeholders, such as faculty, accreditation bodies, and institutional committees.
  • Communicate findings and recommendations to improve SP training and assessment processes.

OSCE Planning and Support:

  • Collaborate with faculty and program staff to design, schedule, and execute OSCEs.
  • Ensure all logistical elements of OSCEs, including SP assignments, case materials, and technology setup, are in place.
  • Provide onsite support during OSCEs to troubleshoot issues and ensure smooth operations.

Quality Assurance:

  • Participate in activities to evaluate the reliability and validity of assessment tools and SP scoring.
  • Provide feedback to SPs on their performance, focusing on alignment with assessment standards.
  • Support the development of policies and procedures to enhance the quality of SP assessments.

Program Development:

  • Assist in the creation and refinement of new SP cases and assessment tools.
  • Stay updated on best practices and innovations in simulation-based education and assessment.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to programmatic research as needed.
  • Performs related duties as required or as directed. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

Core Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
  • Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
  • Commitment to the University's core values.
  • Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.
  • Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office).
