Work hours: 8am - 5pm HST, PST, MST, EST but willing to meet with customer during HST working hours as needed
ResponsibilitiesDefining work strategies, aligning these with resources and desired client outcomes, and overseeing planning and execution of the large scale implementation.
Anticipating issues and acting proactively to address potential issues.
Gathering and updating deliverables, project materials, project documentation, business flows, and lessons learned documents
Speaking about details of the project to both the business and technical teams, including clients
Managing cross-functional interdependencies.
Improving processes to optimize performance and value over time.
Providing proactive risk management and issue/problem resolution as required.
Ensuring technology solutions are managed to support business strategies, often working with senior management.
Directing the integration of technical aspects of all related projects/programs.
Conducting analyses, needs assessments, and cost/benefit assessments.
Monitoring financials to ensure budget compliance.
Representing project status to client and Optum leadership.
Addressing project challenges with key client personnel and within Optum.
Required Skills/Attributes5+ years of IT Project Management experience
2+ years of client facing experience
2+ years of working hands-on with all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle
2+ years of experience in project management for a State Medicaid Agency or a large healthcare management organization
Up to 10% travel requirement
Ability and willingness to work on Hawai'i Standard Time (HST)
Proficiency with MS Office (Including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)
2+ years of experience in project management for an EDW project with data migration
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Preferred Skills/AttributesExperience facilitating Joint Application Design (JAD) session
2+ years experience with project in the M&O phase of the project lifecycle.
Professional License or CertificationProject Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Project SummaryHI HAP/EDW Project go live is 12/31/2025. Project will require strong project manager to transition from DDI to M&O and continue to support emerging changes, etc.
