About
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university or equivalent plus two to three years related experience and/or training preferred, but not required. Experience dealing with safety management procedures and policies may be substituted for formal education. Working knowledge of safety codes, OSHA, EPA, hazardous materials, emergency preparedness and fleet safety. Oral Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively; Listens and gets clarification; Responds well to questions; Demonstrates group presentation skills; asks questions and works closely with management to foster the development and implementation of the company safety management plan. Written Communication - Writes clearly and informatively; Presents numerical data effectively; Able to read and interpret written information. Adaptability - Adapts to changes in the work environment; Manages competing demands; Changes approach or method to best fit the situation; Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; extreme heat and risk of electrical shock.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, however, the employee may occasionally be exposed to very loud noise conditions.
