We are a rapidly growing organization seeking a DoD Secret Cleared Junior Systems Administrator to support daily operations and maintenance activities for the J63H Platform Services infrastructure. Under the supervision of senior technical staff, the Junior System Administrator assists with system monitoring, patch management, account administration, backup validation, documentation maintenance, and ticket resolution activities in the Hampton Roads, VA area. The position provides operational support for server environments, virtual desktop systems, storage infrastructure, and enterprise applications while ensuring adherence to DoD security and configuration management standards. Responsibilities Monitor system health and performance. Assist with server and workstation patching. Create and manage user accounts and permissions. Support backup verification and restoration testing. Maintain configuration and inventory documentation. Support ticket management and incident response activities. Assist with vulnerability remediation efforts. Participate in system upgrades and hardware refresh projects. Maintain compliance with cybersecurity requirements. Support after-hours maintenance activities as required. Minimum Qualifications Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field. 1–3 years of IT support or system administration experience. Experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems. Familiarity with Active Directory administration. Basic understanding of networking concepts. Security+ certification preferred.
