Project Manager
As a leading Heavy Civil Contractor, our client is seeking qualified applicants for a Project Manager position within our Heavy & Highway division in the Boston area. The successful candidate will plan, coordinate, budget, and supervise construction highway and bridge projects from development to completion.
Job Responsibilities:
- Constructability input and/or actual estimating of projects.
- Oversight and responsibility for setup, scheduling, executing and closing out assigned construction projects.
- Oversee job and resource scheduling through coordination with the project superintendent/general superintendents, equipment operations, and others within HRI as required.
- Properly delegate and assign task to the appropriate personnel.
- Coordinates, organizes, and directs activities of the construction crew.
- Monitors all steps of the operation to ensure Standard Quality and Operating Practices and guidelines are being followed.
- Develop and implement operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve product quality.
- Devise and implement cost saving strategies.
- Perform administrative activities such as scheduling crews, completing reports, conducting safety conversations, and complying other reporting as necessary.
- Provide financial leadership for the project and maximize its profitability.
Requirements:
- Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree.
- Minimum of 8 years of work experience in heavy highway construction.
- Experience in P6 or other CPM scheduling software.
- Must have a current and valid driver's licenses.
- Adhere to safety procedures/guidelines at all times.
- Punctuality, consistent attendance and self-direction for the success of the operations.
- Proficient with Excel, Word, and Outlook.
