Role Overview As a Software Engineering Manager within PNC's Technology organization, you will be based in Dallas, TX or Pittsburgh, PA. The Software Engineering Manager provides senior engineering leadership across multiple Agile crews delivering enterprise Pega solutions. The role is accountable for Pega delivery execution, platform governance, engineering standards, and building strong internal Pega capability. Core Management Responsibilities (PNC ASM Standard) Manage multiple development crews and complex Pega delivery initiatives across a major business segment Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for Pega engineers and technical leads Ensure predictable delivery through effective planning, staffing, and dependency management Partner with product, architecture, risk, and operations stakeholders to align Pega solutions to business goals Ensure compliance with PNC enterprise risk management, security, and regulatory standards Own Pega engineering quality, delivery metrics, and continuous improvement across teams Drive adoption of standard SDLC, Agile, and DevOps practices within the Pega platform Job Description Manages development projects, development teams and application support functions. Oversees multiple application programming and analysis projects which include development, installation and maintenance of application programs. Monitors and maintains adherence and compliance to quality standards on an ongoing basis. Maximizes staff contribution through professional growth and development, to increase teamwork and more effectively meet business needs. Analyzes applications to ensure that all systems that are developed, meet business needs and specifications. Customer Focused Knowledgeable of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and able to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions. At least 3 years of prior management experience is typically required.
