As a key contributor in a remote capacity, the full-time Staff Design Engineer will shape GitHub's product experience by leading design engineering efforts, prototyping innovative solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable features. Key responsibilities
Deliver front-end experiences with a focus on quality and adaptability to new technologies Rapidly explore and prototype interactive concepts, especially around emerging UX patterns Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure clear communication throughout the design and development process
Required qualifications
10+ years of experience in front-end engineering or development, or relevant educational background with corresponding experience Fluency with modern front-end technologies and design/prototyping tools like Figma Hands-on engineering experience with technologies such as React, CSS, HTML, and JavaScript/TypeScript
