About
The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience managing large-scale content sites (preferably in finance, news, or media), understands Google’s ranking systems and algorithm updates, and can build SEO frameworks optimized for news indexing and Discover performance.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute SEO strategies specifically for Google News inclusion and ranking.
Manage Google Publisher Center configurations and News sitemap optimization.
Ensure compliance with Google News content policies and technical requirements.
Collaborate with editorial teams to improve headline structure, freshness signals, and topical authority.
Build and execute strategies to increase traffic from Google Discover.
Optimize content for Discover visibility (entity‑based optimization, visual strategy, CTR improvements).
Own overall SEO roadmap including technical, on‑page, and off‑page optimization.
Track and report KPIs: organic traffic, Discover traffic, News traffic, CTR, rankings, indexing status.
Requirements
5+ years of SEO experience, preferably in news, media, or fintech.
Proven success growing traffic from:
Google News
Google Discover
Google Search
Strong understanding of:
Technical SEO (crawlability, indexing, schema, Core Web Vitals)
Hands‑on experience with large‑scale content websites.
Strong analytical mindset and data‑driven decision‑making.
Experience managing algorithm volatility in news/Discover ecosystems.
Experience in financial media or investment platforms is highly preferred.
Excellent communication skills in English (Mandarin is a plus).
