Position Summary SierTeK Ltd. is seeking an Information Technology Specialist to support an opportunity at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. Responsibilities Assist senior personnel in support of Information Technology program objectives. Install and maintain software program packages, configure applications, and analyze, design, purchase, and install information security systems. Provide support to telecommunications efforts associated with security systems. Proactively address issues and guide IT support personnel to prevent system failures or disruptions. Provide technical support to prevent system outages, minimize downtime, and maintain service reliability. Assist in the configuration, operation, and management of secure video teleconferencing equipment. Manage hardware and software through configuration management and initial diagnostics of information systems. Coordinate and document system repairs and perform diagnostics to determine causes of hardware and software failures. Remove and replace components and peripherals to restore system operation; install and configure software operating systems and applications. Conduct inventory of computer hardware and software, ensuring compliance with software licensing agreements. Assist with the maintenance of the organization’s COMSEC account per government requirements; conduct self‑inspections and inventory COMSEC material. Support the Government’s Configuration Control Board (CCB). Diagnose and resolve computer and network problems; report issues to customers and vendors. Utilize software and hardware tools to identify and diagnose problems affecting classified and unclassified network and standalone system performance. Update security databases and recommend functional changes to improve processing, operations, and customer support. Enforce approved Standard Operating Procedures, including Information Assurance SOPs, and provide assistance to the Government Security Officer. Implement and maintain IT departmental policies to support the Government’s needs. Ensure project milestones/goals are met within approved budgets. Implement a timely process for resolving user problems, including recognition, research, isolation, resolution, and follow‑up. Qualifications Associate’s Degree or equivalent. 5+ years of related experience. Information Assurance Technical LevelII Certification and Security+ Certification. Full‑range computer services experience for in‑house information security operations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
