Position Summary: The HVAC Construction Sales Representative is responsible for developing and managing relationships with mechanical contractors, general contractors, developers, and building owners to drive profitable HVAC and plumbing construction projects. This mid-level role focuses on project-based sales, territory growth, and long-term account management while collaborating with estimating, engineering, and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities: Sales & Business Development:
Identify, pursue, and close HVAC and plumbing construction opportunities within an assigned territory.
Develop new contractor and GC relationships while expanding existing accounts.
Track projects through planning, bidding, and award phases using a CRM software.
Project & Bid Management:
Support bid and proposal development with estimating and engineering teams.
Review plans, specifications, and scopes of work.
Assist with pricing strategy and negotiations.
Relationship Management:
Serve as primary point of contact for customers.
Build long-term trust with decision-makers.
Cross-Functional Coordination:
Coordinate with project managers and operations for smooth handoff.
Communicate schedules, scope, and expectations.
Sales Administration:
Maintain CRM records and sales forecasts.
Meet assigned revenue and margin targets.
Required Qualifications:
3–7 years of HVAC or mechanical construction sales experience.
Strong knowledge of HVAC and plumbing systems and construction workflows.
Experience with construction drawings and bid processes.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience selling to mechanical contractors or GCs.
Familiarity with CRM platforms.
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or construction management.
