Job Details Sallie Mae Bank, 300 Continental Drive, Newark, DE 19713 Position: Senior Associate, Data Analytics (Private Credit Operations) Employment Type: Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday Work Arrangement: Remote work permitted up to 3 days within a reasonable commuting distance of the Newark, DE office. What you'll do: Support the analytics team in conducting financial data analysis, modeling, and reporting to deliver insights and recommendations. Gather, clean, and prepare data for analysis, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Develop models and forecasts to support business planning and decision‑making. Design Guardrails for KPIs. Design, track, and report MIS to guide business tactics. Track initiative performance against forecast. Optimize targeting within budget constraints. Create presentations on findings and provide sound recommendations to leadership to influence strategic business decision‑making. Create and maintain data documentation, data dictionaries, and standard operating procedures. Contribute to the continuous improvement of data quality and data management processes. What you have: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Accounting, or a closely related field of study, and two (2) years of experience as a Data Analyst or in a related role. Alternatively, a Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Accounting, or a closely related field of study is accepted in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience. Required education or experience in the following: SQL, Python, R, or other programming languages commonly used in analytics (e.g., SAS). Data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI. Conducting data analysis to support business planning and decision‑making. Developing and maintaining data documentation, data dictionaries, and standard operating procedures.
