Job Summary Nationwide Technology is seeking a Manager, Software Engineering Product Manager to lead a team of technology professionals within the Agribusiness BSA team. The role supports modern web applications that serve Nationwide’s agricultural customers. Working in a hybrid schedule, the manager will be on the Des Moines, IA office two days per week and will report to a Technology Director or above. Key Responsibilities Apply secure software and systems engineering practices throughout the delivery lifecycle to protect data and technology solutions. Partner with leaders to ensure viable total cost of ownership and ongoing health of applications. Assist in development and implementation of application suite roadmaps, evaluating business needs, competitive landscape, technology currency, and information security considerations. Manage risk mitigation controls and support internal and external audits. Support engineering build of the application suite and non‑technical efforts for products. Represent the voice of the customer and advocate for business case development, planning, financial management, and portfolio evaluation. Hire, develop, coach, and provide consistent feedback to team members. Ensure delivery availability and resiliency following established operating mechanisms and best practices. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications Undergraduate studies in management information systems, engineering, math, computer science, or a comparable field. Six years of application suite management experience, with at least four years leading multiple teams across multiple technologies. Proven experience empowering and building engaged teams. Deep understanding of the systems development life cycle and modern methodologies, practices, tools, and techniques. Strong project delivery, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis skills. Ability to develop and implement roadmap strategies and make sound decision‑making. Excellent coaching and career development ability. Strong relationship‑building skills and the ability to maintain positive interactions with stakeholders. Familiarity with the insurance/financial services industry is a plus.
