About

Position Overview We are seeking a frontend-leaning engineer to help build and scale the user-facing web applications powering Knowtex’s AI-driven clinical documentation platform. You will work closely with Platform Engineering and customer-facing teams to build accessible, intuitive, and performant user experiences that support real-time voice AI workflows across enterprise healthcare environments.
This role is ideal for an engineer who has experience operating on small, high-impact teams with significant ownership and autonomy, including end-to-end execution on critical product features.
Key Responsibilities
Exercise strong engineering judgement in evolving or breaking from existing patterns when appropriate
Design and build user experiences, including complex audio-centric workflows
Develop accessible, intuitive, and performant user interfaces
Develop secure and performant APIs and supporting infrastructure for web and mobile applications
Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and customer delivery teams to prioritize bug fixes, improvements, and new feature developmentParticipate meaningfully in technical discussions, design reviews, and code reviews
Contribute to shared application infrastructure, component library, design system, and developer experience
Improve system reliability, observability, and performance
Handle engineering escalations from customer-facing teams during on-call shifts, including investigating issues outside of your typical areas of responsibility
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience building production web applications
Strong proficiency in TypeScript
Experience building applications with React and Node.js
Experience designing and building RESTful APIs
Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases
Understanding of distributed systems and scalability concepts
Strong debugging, communication, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in healthcare technology or regulated environments
Experience building real-time or highly interactive web applications
Experience operating effectively with limited product design support
Familiarity with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, S3, RDS, and DynamoDB
Technical Environment
React, TypeScript, Node.js, and Python (Lambda)
AWS cloud infrastructure (including GovCloud environments)
AI-enabled application platforms
CI/CD pipelines and containerized services
Observability and analytics tools (Amplitude, Sentry)
