Intermediate Business Intelligence Analyst Position Summary The Intermediate Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for supporting our business partners with insights, automated solutions, and various dashboards and reporting that will enhance their data-driven decisions. The role partners with our Data Scientists on predictive analytics projects that enable proactive decisions and strategies. Support to the Data Scientists may include data mining, data discovery/exploration, feature creation, blending data from multiple sources, and statistical analysis. Additionally, the analyst provides technical support, gathers and refines requirements, discovers insights independently, and presents findings to stakeholders. What you will do Influence business decisions by providing quantitative and qualitative data analysis and reporting of patterns, insights, and trends to decision-makers. Bridge the gap between self-service analytics users and advanced analytics data scientists. Organize data and create dashboards/reports using visualization tools and internal databases, and utilize statistical methods for data analysis and insight development. Interface with the business to understand data needs and translate those into target data sets and projects. Collect, aggregate, and analyze data from multiple internal and external sources. Produce actionable reports that display key performance indicators, identify improvement areas, and present root cause analysis. Collaborate with other GTS teams to improve data transparency and enable trustworthy business decisions. Consolidate information from different source systems into unified data structures. Build strong relationships with cross‑functional teams. Analyze current and past KPI trends and explain causes of unexpected variances. Perform ad‑hoc reporting and analysis, compiling and preparing reports and graphs. Assist with improving KPIs by analyzing various data elements. Integrate, consolidate, and cleanse data for use in analytics applications. Explore Google AI tools for creative problem solving, data analysis, insight development, and delivery. When you will work Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm Hybrid schedule: 4 days in office in Wyoming, MI, or Atlanta, GA with 1 day remote. What you’ll bring to the table Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 5 years experience in Data Analytics preferred. Strong understanding of constructing complex SQL queries for data mining (knowledge of GCP and BigQuery a plus). Ability to teach and support others on complex data mining approaches. Experience with visualization tools and ability to learn new technologies. Proven problem‑solving capabilities. Self‑management: attention to detail, ability to prioritize, multi‑task, and manage time; able to work independently or within a team environment. Demonstrated drive and initiative, highly motivated toward company, team, and individual results, and maintain focus on priorities. Ability to develop solutions to complex problems using established precedents and policies. Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized and detail-oriented. Strong analytical skills and thorough understanding of interpreting customer data needs. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts. Strong desire to learn new technologies and tools. Wholesale Food Distribution knowledge is a plus. Understanding of existing GFS applications (legacy database/tables, relationships, data structure) preferred. Python knowledge a plus.
